General Conditions of Sale
This text defines the operation of the online store Espaço23 and explains its sales conditions. espaco23.pt is an e-commerce site dedicated to national and international sales of Ceramics, items.
All the articles available on the site have marked the selling price in Euros with VAT included at the legal rate in force and excluding shipping costs.
If you reside outside the European Union, please note that the customs services of your country may charge your additional customs fees. These fees are not the responsibility of Espaço23 and vary from country to country. Please check with your country's customs service before placing an order.
Shipping costs are calculated per order, the exact amount of the shipping cost will depend on the country where your order is delivered.
CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO PROMOTIONAL CODES (DISCOUNTS)
When used in accordance with the rules laid down, a promotional code entitles the user to take advantage of a promotion/discount relating to the purchase of a specific product or for a set of products, during the period indicated / associated with the promotional code / promotional campaign.
The promotional codes are personal and non-transferable and can only be used for online purchases made on the site. The sale, exchange or donation of a promotional code is not allowed. The customer carrying the promotional code may not upload or make available a promotional code on any site or other public form of offer, donation, sale or exchange. Promotional codes may not be used for commercial purposes.
The use of a promotional code is conditioned only to one use per product and per order. Promotional codes cannot be combined with any other promotions or special offers.
Promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash and will not be re-edited or returned.
Without prejudice to any other rights, Espaço23 reserves the right to immediately invalidate the promotional code issued if it suspects that a promotional code is being used in violation of the above.
Place an Order
To place an order in espaco23.pt it is necessary that the User has a valid e-mail account and frequent use. You do not need to register as a customer (if you register you will have access to the page 'your account' and may have access to exclusive promotions).
To order one or more items, the customer must follow the following process:
a) Browse the pages of the online store and find the product(s) you want to purchase.
b) Add your favourite products to your shopping basket through the Add to basket button.
c) Change the quantities if you want to purchase more than one unit of each item
d) Once you understand that you have chosen everything you want to purchase, finalize the purchase by clicking Finalize.
d) Check out according to the instructions provided by the site:
- fill in your personal data in a form;
- Then, select the payment method;
- Review your order;
- Proceed to the payment, confirming the order.
- By selecting the Exit button, at the end of the purchase process, your order is confirmed and you will only have to wait for the days foreseen for the postal dispatch of the pieces.
As soon as you finish your purchase, you will receive an automatic email confirming the transaction. We suggest you print or download this copy for future reference. If the information is not correct, you can immediately ask for it to be changed or until the purchase is cancelled.
In case of non-confirmation of payment or failure to comply with these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, Espaço23 reserves the right not to accept your order or to cancel it in whole or in part, even after the automatic confirmation of the same.
The products ordered in the online store espaco23.pt will be shipped and delivered on working days, Monday to Friday.
We can only guarantee the good delivery of an order if the shipping address of the products is well indicated by the user, that address being located in a house or office located in mainland Portugal - in other cases we should be contacted in advance.
All national orders are shipped through:
a) Portuguese Post Office (CTT)
- regular mail; or
- Correio Verde; or
- registered mail; or
- Mail with collection; or
The postage and shipping methods are defined at check out by the client through the options presented and defined by the volume/weight of the order.
In the case of sending by registered mail, with collection or Citypost, customers will receive by email an order number to track it through the site of CTT or CityPost.
Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight/volume of the items and the location of the client (in the case of shipments outside mainland Portugal) and based on the prices of CTT or Citypost.
Prices for Portugal:
- CTT (Regular mail - no registration: 3 working days after shipping)
- Orders weighing less than 100 grams: 0.75€
- Orders weighing from 100 to 500 grams: 1.40€
- Orders with weight from 0,500 to 2Kg : 3,25€
- CTT (Green Mail - no registration: 1 working day after shipping to PT Continental and 2 working days after shipping to Autonomous Regions)
- Orders weighing less than 300 grams: 2.15€
- CTT (Registered mail: 1 working day after dispatch)
- Orders weighing less than 100 grams: 2.55€
- Orders weighing from 100 to 500 grams: 3.35€
- Orders weighing from 100 to 500 grams: 5.90€
- CTT (Mail with collection/registration: 1 working day after dispatch)
- Orders weighing less than 500 grams: 5.20€
- Orders with weight from 0.500 to 2Kg: 7.75€
- CityPost (shipping orders with registration: 1 to 5 working days after shipping.
Prices without IVA. Not available for Madeira and Azores):
- Orders with weight inferior to 5Kg: 4,99€
- Orders weighing from 5 to 6Kg: 7.21€
- Orders with weight from 6 to 7Kg: 7.40€
- Orders weighing from 7 to 8Kg: 7.80€
- Orders with weight from 8 to 9Kg: 8.20€
Note: Espaço23 is only responsible for losses on registered shipments (tracking-search objects).
The shipping costs associated with your order will be invoiced per order, i.e. if you order more than one item, you will only pay the shipping costs once. However, Espaço23 reserves the right to split the delivery of the order, for example, if a part of the order is late or not available. In case we split the order, the customer will be notified by e-mail of our intention. For this purpose, the e-mail address provided by the customer at the time of purchase will be used.
At the time of delivery, the Purchaser shall inspect the packaging and the products sent for possible damage. If he finds that the products are damaged, the customer must not accept the delivery of the order, which must be returned immediately through the mechanism of Return provided in espaco23.pt. Espaço23 will proceed to the refund of the values paid for the order and for the transport as soon as, at its headquarters, it receives confirmation and completes the return process.
The order is considered accepted if, after receiving the order, the Buyer does not return the order within the following 15 days.
Customers of Espaço23 can choose between the following payment methods:
A) Credit card (via Paypal),
B) Bank transfer
C) Sending against reimbursement and
D) Meowallet balance
We do not accept any method of payment other than those mentioned.
If the End Consumer chooses to pay by bank transfer, we will only start processing the order after we have received the payment. If the transfer is made through homebanking you must send proof to email@example.com. If the transfer is made at the counter of a bank or at an ATM (cash machine) it is essential to send the receipt of the transfer (or by scanning or photo of the receipt) to the same email.
Once 2 calendar days have passed since the order was placed, and if we have not received any payment, the order will be cancelled.
We urge you not to try to make the payment by any other means not specified in espaco23.pt. If you try to do so, Espaço23 cannot be held responsible for the loss of payment or any other damage that may arise.
ONLINE STORE SAFETY Walk the line AND ALL TRANSACTIONS.
The Online Store Espaço23 uses the latest and most robust security technologies available for encryption platforms. All payment information you provide will be encrypted, from the initial moment of your transaction until the moment the order is processed, and will not be stored on any public server.
Although we use highly developed encryption software, any payment transmitted over the Internet, or via e-mail, is subject to certain risks, namely when the User does not take the necessary precautions and does not assume the proper conduct of responsibility.
Espaço23 shall not be liable for any damage suffered as a result of the use of electronic means of communication, including damage resulting from failures or delays in the delivery of electronic communications, interception or manipulation of electronic communications by third parties or by computer programs used to
PRODUCT AVAILABILITY AND ORDER CONFIRMATION/CANCELLATION
Espaço23 only processes an order placed by a customer after confirmation of the respective payment, so it cannot guarantee the availability of the articles until the beginning of the said processing.
Espaço23 only ship orders on working days. Therefore, for the estimation of the delivery time of orders, neither weekends nor holidays are counted. Any delay in the shipment of items, compared to the estimated dates presented, does not confer the right to compensation.
The satisfaction of all orders placed on the site is subject to product availability. Espaço23 tries to ensure that all items placed for sale on the site are in stock. However, it reserves the right not to accept any orders or cancel orders already confirmed for products that no longer have stock. In case of unavailability of the product and/or rupture of stock, you will immediately inform the End Consumer of the partial or total cancellation of your order, and the buyer is entitled to a refund of the amount paid.
Orders are shipped within approximately 24 hours and all parts are available after payment confirmation.
Within Continental Portugal, shipments generally take one to two working days (CTT green mail, CTT registered, CTT collect) or two to five working days (in case of ctt regular mail or citypost) to be delivered.
In the Archipelago of Madeira and the Azores between 2 and 5 working days and for the European Union (except Portugal) between 2 and 6 working days approximately.
For shipments out of Continental Portugal please contact us before submitting your order.
Espaço23 will not be responsible for the non-fulfillment, or delay in fulfilling, of any shipping obligation due to an event of force majeure, i.e. an event, act or omission, beyond its reasonable control.
Guarantee of delivery
In case of loss of orders for registered shipments, Espaço23 undertakes to reimburse the customer for the total value of his order.
The customer is responsible for tracking your order with the registration number provided and to pick up your order on time at the CTT station if it is not delivered by hand by the postman.
In case the order is returned to the sender for not having been picked up in time at the CTT station, the reshipment will only be made by new payment of shipping costs.
Exchanges and returns
Espaço23 will only sell high quality products at espaco23.pt and will never sell second-hand, defective or substandard products.
Customers can exchange or return the articles. Only articles that have not yet been altered. will be accepted.
After the reception of the order, the Buyer(s) has a period of 15 days to exchange or return his (her) article(s) in case he (she) finds that they present defects or other non-conformities in relation to the ordered products.
In case the articles present a defect the customer must submit a complaint by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) identifying the order, the affected article and the defect.
The exchange of orders of the purchaser(s) with manufacturing defects must be carried out as follows:
- Place the item in a box. You can use the original packaging in which you received the order or another box or envelope, as long as it is not damaged. If you use the original packaging, empty it and place only the item you want to return. Close the box and seal it with tape. If the box has any labels, stickers or other materials from previous shipments, remove them.
The shipping can be done in two different ways (the customer will be informed in time of which of the two ways):
a) The Client goes to the CTT and sends the article to Espaço23 headquarters, being later reimbursed of the value of this sending (by valid voucher in the store or by bank transfer - after good reception of the article); or
b) Espaço23 requires a collection at the customer's address. The collection will be made within 3 working days after having made the request for return. You will be contacted by customer service to schedule the collection of the parts. If the customer is not at the address given at the time of collection, a new collection will be scheduled on a date/time to be agreed between the customer and the transport company.
- Pick-ups are not held on holidays and weekends.
- It is exclusively up to Espaço23 to choose one of the above modalities.
If the items are not defective and the customer chooses to exchange them, he must request and justify the exchange by email (email@example.com) identifying the order and the item to be exchanged; Exchanges will only be made for items with a value equal to or greater than that and the customer must pay the difference in case of higher cost.
- After receiving the product in our warehouse, the Quality Department will check if the part is in accordance with our requirements for return or exchange. If so, the return or exchange will be confirmed.
